The volunteer members of the BCPF’s Board of Directors are stewards of the Foundation’s assets, helping to ensure that SCI BC has the support that it requires to meet the needs of those with spinal cord injury in our province.
John was the founder of Motion Specialties and served for many years as president prior to his retirement. Previously a member of Spinal Cord Injury BC’s Board until 2010, John became a director of the BC Paraplegic Foundation in 2012.
Dealer Principal of Brown Bros Ford in Vancouver, Tim joined the BC Paraplegic Foundation’s Board in 2007.
Bernie has served as a director of the BC Paraplegic Foundation since 1990. A chartered accountant and valuator by profession, he is president of a financial consulting company.
Christian is engaged in corporate development & finance and is a Founder of Know Your Advisor, Inc. Christian joined the BC Paraplegic Foundation Board of Directors in 2012.
Brent is a partner with Fasken Martineau LLP, specializing in a general banking and secured lending practice.
Ross has served on the BCPF Board as past chair of the investment committee and treasurer. He is engaged in private equity investment and is also a Board Member of Brentwood College School and Pacifica Center.
Ed joined the Board in 2010. A professional engineer, he is owner and president of West Shore Constructors.
Ann’s wealth of knowledge on living with SCI primarily stems from her 31 year marriage to the late Doug Mowat, recognized as a pioneer in disability programs and service delivery. Ann has served on the Foundation’s board of directors since 1993.
Bill is owner of a business consulting company and the now retired founder of Delta Hotels. He also headed the hotel management program at the University of Victoria and serves as a director of Canlan Ice Sports Limited.
Barbara joined as a Director of the BC Paraplegic Foundation in 2008. Volunteering has been a big part of her life; she has been active for over 38 years with Variety the Children’s Charity and is currently on their Board as well.
Al joined the BCPF Board in 2007 and has also served on the board of the BC Rehabilitation Foundation. Al is president and board member of Wagner Industries in Burnaby BC.
A businessman and philanthropist, Peter serves on many corporate and non-profit boards, including the R. Howard Webster Foundation, the UBC Investment Management Trust, the South Coast BC Transit Police Board, the Vancouver International Airport Authority and as trustee for the Vancouver Police Foundation. Peter chairs the Foundation’s investment committee.
