Come zen out with us!
SCI BC is excited to offer our first ever Wellness Retreat to kick off the summer! Join us for an extended weekend and immerse yourself in all things mindful to power your productivity, awareness and joy for life. Set along the beautiful landscape of Merritt, BC, you will come away feeling refreshed and reenergized.
This year’s retreat will be held at Coldwater Ranch in Merritt, owned and operated by the Abilitas Foundation. A 26-bed, completely accessible lodge sparked the idea to create a retreat, where a variety of mindfulness activities will be offered to SCI BC peers across the regions.
This retreat came about as SCI BC’s Peer Coordinator, Josh Dueck, completed his yoga certification and wanted opportunities to facilitate yoga sessions within his community.
Activities offered will include: adapted yoga led by power-couple Josh & Lacey Dueck, art therapy with Jessica Ganton-Stanley of the Centre for Response Based Practice, massages courtesy of Sarah Ross Massage Clinic, cooking for healthy living workshops, and opportunities to connect with nature while exploring the outdoor trails either by adapted mountain bike with Kootenay Adaptive or by trailrider with BC Mobility Opportunities Society (BCMOS)
Participants should arrive after 4pm Thursday, May 24th and leave 11am Sunday, May 26th.

Please note this event has a cost of $50, which includes three nights’ accommodation and meals throughout each day during the program. Transportation to and from Merritt is not included.
