The BC SCI Community Services Network is comprised of five community focused organizations dedicated to improving the lives of over 12,000 British Columbian’s with spinal cord injury (or related disability). These organizations work in unison to provide the best and most essential community services throughout the province.
Provides people with SCI in BC the opportunity to participate in wheelchair basketball programs.
Provides opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities, and promotes wheelchair sports within the community.
Uses technology, knowledge and passion to empower Canadians with physical disabilities.
Provides opportunities for people with disabilities. Promotes the capabilities and talents of people with physical challenges.
These partner organizations offer people with SCI a range of services critical to improving quality of life and having some fun.
Promotes the appropriate application of assistive and seating technologies and practices in the Province of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory for the purpose of furthering an individual’s goals related to: communication, vocation, education, leisure and independent living.
Helps people with SCI and other disabilities access the personal supports they need, everything from equipment and assistive devices, to sign-language interpreters and attendants.
Unites volunteers with outdoor enthusiasts with disabilities, and using adaptive equipment, provide outdoor adventures that improve the quality of life for everyone.
Works with hundreds of volunteers to provide opportunities for all persons with a disability to enjoy the freedom and therapeutic benefits of skiing and snowboarding.
An interdisciplinary research centre for the development of effective strategies to promote functional recovery after spinal cord injury.
Rowing (both on-water and indoor) is an ideal form of exercise for persons with a SCI.
Provides year-around, recreational programs for people of all ages with disabilities.
