Spend a couple days camping in the great outdoors with SCI BC and Power To Be!

For the second year in a row, join SCI BC and Power to Be for our Learn to Camp event! This year’s location is at Deas Island in Delta, BC.

Power to Be brings along all the accessible equipment needed for camping (tents, cots, extra gear) for those who may not have any or who haven’t camped before! If you have any gear, however, please do bring it. This event is accessible to Peers of any level of injury, and any experience level—specifically geared towards those who haven’t been camping before with an SCI or related disability.

During this weekend, Power to Be will also offer adaptive kayaking and trail riders (adaptive hiking) opportunities. It’s a great opportunity for people with SCI and their families to experience a weekend in the beautiful outdoors!

While we understand that camping can be challenging at first, we encourage full participation from attendees, as to not disrupt the flow of events and overall experience for attendees.

Please contact Jenna: jwright@sci-bc.ca if you wish to learn more or want to RSVP! There are very limited spaces available for this sought-after event.
