There’s tremendous skill and potential among people living with physical disabilities, but following your career path after a life-changing injury comes with a lot of uncertainties: How do you balance your personal needs with a demanding work schedule? What kinds of workplace accommodations are available—and how do you work with your employer to get them? And what are other people with physical disabilities doing with their careers? This year’s Spinal Cord Injury Forum will provide examples of the sometimes challenging, often unexpected career paths that our members have taken. Panel sessions will include discussions about returning to employment, employers as allies, and creating your own path in the workforce.
This year’s Forum takes place on Saturday April 14th, from 10am-4pm at the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre.
