The Walking Invisible group aims to connect people who have a spinal cord injury and are fully ambulatory. The people in this group share the common challenge, that despite having many of the challenges that come with a spinal cord injury, are often misunderstood by the general public, family members and friends.
Many of these people with these injuries have also noted they don’t feel like they “fit” into spinal cord injury groups where members are in wheelchairs. We hope that people in this group can get back on track quicker, forge new friendships, and draw attention to the particular needs of this community.
