Job Duties
– Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
– Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
– Estimate food requirements and costs
– Maintain inventory and records of ingredients, supplies and equipment
– Order ingredients, supplies and equipment as needed
– Train and supervise other staff and helpers in the kitchen
– Inspect kitchens and food service areas
