At SCI BC we’re looking for a dynamic, community-minded person to lead our flagship Prince George peer support program, providing peer support to people living with SCI and similar disabilities in the North. You will create fun and engaging community events, host social coffee groups, and offer individualized support and information to people living with spinal cord injury and their families. You have spinal cord injury experience and enjoy sharing skills and experiences with others. You’re great at connecting people, and you know how to bring people together to build a sense of community through shared experiences.
In this role you will help develop a community of SCI peer support through:
- Recruitment and retention of members and participants
- Facilitation of coffee group sessions
- Social and educational event planning and hosting
- Developing and maintaining community partnerships
- Program administration, evaluation and development
