Position overview 

We have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst (Maximo) in the IT Department. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Transformation, the successful candidate is responsible for the initiation, execution, control, and completion of enterprise system projects, including but not limited to, system assessments and roadmaps, business process improvement, system implementation and enhancement projects. YVRAA requires a business analyst to support and enhance our Maximo 7.6.1 system, including integrations to other systems. The SBA responsibility will be to ensure continuity of service of Maximo platform and related integrations to other systems through delivery of change requests, enhancements, support, system upgrades and maintenance.     

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Providing business analysis, functional and technical, application and operational support for specified systems; Documenting business processes and data flows, including conducting requirements fit-gap analyses, and identifying short-term and long-term business and technical system requirements.
  • Implementing functional enhancements for end users with Application Designer, Automation Scripts, Workflow Designer, including creating and updating reports using Maximo BIRT.
  • Monitoring and maintaining Maximo system, leading Maximo system upgrade testing and rollouts, ensuring data integrity, internal controls and audit trails are maintained throughout, managing software contracts, including required licensing and support.
  • Leading and/or supporting enterprise transformation projects and ongoing enhancements, specifically Maximo Asset management (MAS) implementations.
  • Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, while following defined YVR IT PMO processes and creating required documentation.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent, or comparable education with sufficient relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience implementing and supporting enterprise-class applications in medium to large sized organizations. 
  • Minimum 5 years of business analysis and project management experience (senior level).
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience with Maximo 7.6.x is essential (Experience with MAS 8.x would be an asset), including understanding of technical system architecture. Experience with Application Designer, Automation Scripts, Workflow Designer, Database Configuration and other Maximo admin applications is essential. Experience with Maximo BIRT reporting would be an asset.
  • Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a pro-active outlook as well as proven relationship building skills, both with internal stakeholders/users and external vendors/consultants/system user community groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Salary Range : $97,599 to $127,555 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
