One year ago, a local company launched a tool that finally lets you take control of the way you understand and manage your health care. Today, Phoenix Attitude founder and SCI BC Peer Jenna Reed-Cote is giving back with free accounts for all SCI BC Peers. (The only think she wants in return? Your feedback!)
Phoenix Attitude is proud to announce a partnership with Spinal Cord Injury BC!
To celebrate our 1st birthday, we are partnering up with SCI BC to figure out how we stack up against other tools out there that help YOU take control of YOUR health.
I’ve been involved with SCI BC for the last 2 years, and have been in constant awe of the resources they provide to their members to empower and engage. They have such committed staff and so many people who have gone through their program after sustaining injuries, but who have come back and taken the world (and assumptions of people with “disabilities”) by storm.
In fact, we are so blown away by their members that we have decided to gift every one of them with a FREE Medical & Motivation account in hopes of providing them with some added support for their minds, bodies and spirits!
With their new Medical & Motivation account, SCI BC members will not only have access to an electronic file cabinet capable of storing information on their medications, doctors, symptoms, surgeries/procedures, and appointments. Members will also get a tool crafted by a “professional patient” that provides unique insight as to how to navigate the health care system with more confidence, competence and understanding of the important role that they, as patients, play in their own health care.
And, as they say on every game show ever, “But wait – there’s more!” Although we believe that there are some tools out there that are capable of helping you organize your health information, we haven’t seen any with…personality. WHY?! Don’t they know that we need to be inspired so that we can keep up the fight for the best possible outcome? An outcome that at the end of the day WE need to be able to work with to make the impact on the world that our gut knows we can make (despite what our exteriors may be telling others behind our gut’s back.)
That is why we have included our “Motivation” section that – you guessed it – provides quick access to content to motivate you, and content giving you that laugh when you really need it! We have also spent a lot of time trying to build an arsenal of information on how other people are living life with health challenges. We did this in hopes of you realizing that you aren’t alone on your journey, and that maybe someone has figured out some nifty tips or tricks to obstacles you’ve been trying to overcome for ages.
So, how do you sign up for your new Medical & Motivation account? Go to: https://www.scibc.phoenixattitude.com/login

Phoenix Attitude can’t wait to hear about the experiences SCI BC members have with their Medical & Motivation account. Your feedback will enable us to make this Tool #1 in patient empowerment. Together, let’s figure out where our strengths lie and where we need support so we can move on with our days—and our goals.
