Jessica Kruger grew up on a sailboat and circumnavigated the world with her parents and older sister between the ages of six and ten. Her love for travel has continued into adulthood and at the age of 25 she has traveled to 46 countries.
Shortly after her accident in 2007 Jessica started playing wheelchair rugby for the BC Provincial team. Today, she continues to train and compete, splitting her time between rugby and SCI BC, and is currently the only female athlete on the co-ed team.
Jessica graduated from Simon Fraser University with an English Degree and Creative Writing certificate which she now utilizes in high-stakes scrabble matches and eloquently scripted e-mails. When Jessica is not busy reading the thesaurus or right-clicking word-documents to find clever-sounding synonyms she can often be found in her kitchen whipping up a batch of cupcakes or creating a custom cake.
Having always loved hosting people, event planning felt like a natural progression for Jessica. She is excited to connect with the SCI BC community, and create unique opportunities with fun creative touches that help bring us all together and allow us to adjust, adapt, and thrive.
