Originally born in Taiwan and immigrated to Canada at a young age, Terry is a bilingual speaker fluent in both English and Mandarin who graduated from UBC School of Music with a specialization in Piano Performance and he also holds a master’s degree in Master of Management (MM) from UBC Sauder School of Business.
Terry grew up in a small country town called Pitt Meadows. In his past life, Terry spent most of his summer days playing and working on a dairy farm where he was hauling hay and driving tractors.
Terry has spent a great portion of his career in the music industry where he has toured extensively across North America with world-renowned artists and recorded on many singles and projects that are on the radio today. Terry has also worked for Spotify and Beats by Dr. Dre where he was able to incorporate his interests for music and business.
Before joining Spinal Cord Injury BC in 2018, Terry volunteered his time in Kenya where he taught business workshops to over 150 students in Africa’s biggest slums, Kibera and Mathare. The ability to challenge, support and inspire others was truly rewarding for Terry and he knew that he wanted to continue creating a positive social impact within his own community.
At Spinal Cord Injury BC, Terry works to support and grow SCI BC’s dynamic partnerships with corporate sponsors and SPIN advertisers.
When Terry is not in the office or building relationships, he will most likely be found somewhere outdoors. You can find him climbing mountains, riding his bike, snowboarding, camping, volunteering in the community and traveling the world. In fact, Terry recently just completed his summit to the world’s highest free-standing mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft) and cycled up the world’s hardest cycling climb, Mt. Wuling (10,745 ft).
