Amit was born in Chandigarh, India and has lived in British Columbia for more than 20 years. He holds a bachelor of hotel management from I.H.M India but after moving to Vancouver at the age of 19, transitioned to studying marketing & Microsoft networking at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Amit is an entrepreneur who manages an award-winning business of securities & surveillance with more than 150 employees across BC, Ontario and Alberta.
Amit has always enjoyed volunteering and using his skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. He is involved with the City of Surrey Measuring Committee of Disability, an active member of South Fraser Active Living and has helped different youth sports clubs. Amit is also a recipient of the Gert Vorsteher Award. He facilitates SCI BC’s Indo-Canadian Coffee Group in Surrey.
In his spare time, Amit enjoys spending time with his two kids, family and friends, and practising meditation, spirituality and yoga. He likes exploring tasty treats from different cuisines around the world and loves to travel, watch sports, play Xbox and has a passion for motorsports.
