The Cariboo Regional District has embraced the vision of creating a wheelchair accessible trails network in the Cariboo Chilcotin. In 2008, the Cariboo Regional District worked with the Tatlayoko Community Association to complete a pilot wheelchair accessible trail in the Tatlayoko Lake Community Park and commissioned a region-wide study to identify trails in the region which could be developed into wheelchair accessible trails.
