Our 13th year racing in the Charity Challenge was a success, thanks to YOU! Together, we raised over $82,000 in the Charity Challenge to support people with SCI and related disabilities across BC.

From the big Vancouver race to smaller events across BC, your energy, kindness and belief in our cause made it all possible. Whether you rolled, strolled, donated or simply cheered us on, we are so, so grateful.

There’s still time to support Team SCI BC! Donations are accepted until July 26

We want to extend a special thank you to the incredible corporate and community teams who joined the Charity Challenge this year. Their commitment strengthens our community and helps people with SCI and related disabilities thrive every day. We’re so grateful for their heart and hustle!

At ICBC, our job is making sure the auto insurance system works for all road users. We make decisions with every British Columbian in mind and support drivers both on and off the road. Working closely with our staff, stakeholders and partners, we’re committed to a safer B.C. and an insurance system we can be proud of — now and in the future.

“Many ICBC staff are concerned about our customers who are injured in car crashes and are inspired by the work that SCI BC does to support BC residents with spinal cord injuries. Participating in the Charity Challenge Run for SCI BC is a way that ICBC staff can help some of our customers who are injured. Personally, I think SCI BC provides a valuable service to BC residents and am grateful for the chance to help with that. Running with a team for SCI BC is also a lot of fun and a great way to keep in shape.”

Life can change in an instant, bringing uncertainty and fear of the unknown. SCI BC steps in at that critical moment, helping people adjust to a new reality and offering continued support every step of the way. Jenna’s Run Club is a Vancouver-based social run club, started by Jenna Sorianoo, that brings people together to run and socialize. They welcome anyone to join them for short hikes and runs.

Members of the club ran with purpose and laced up for the half marathon in support of SCI BC!

We are a social running group that loves to run for donuts, ice cream and everything in between. Our goal is to be inclusive of all ages, paces, and have fun, with a “no runner left behind” attitude. ICDRC has morning runs, evening runs, weekend runs and monthly trail runs.

We want to support important causes because our club is based on supporting each other.

Thank you again to everyone who took part in the Charity Challenge. We’ll see you next year!
