You’re too young. Try pellets. Just have another glass of wine. Have you tried black cohosh? I just want my periods to end. Estrogen gives you cancer! My sex life will never be the same. I just want to go through menopause naturally…Are these the thoughts that come to mind when the M word comes up?

In this multi-session webinar, you’ll learn more about menopause than you could imagine, with the opportunity to ask questions and share your experiences. We will talk about the intersection of menopause and living with neurologic impairment. You deserve to make choices that allow you to thrive and to make decisions based in evidence, rather than in fear.

About Module Two: Perimenopause Symptoms: Itchin’ and Burnin’ While Aunt Flow Goes Rogue

*PLEASE NOTE: The session has been moved to 4-5:30 pm on Monday, March 25.

In Module One we covered basic terms and timelines in the menopausal transition. In Module Two, we will discussing symptoms experienced in the menopausal transition. First, we will talk about menstrual cycle changes, when to talk to your doctor and ways you can manage symptoms. Second, we will dive into a lesser known, but permanent change in the menopausal transition: genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). Pain, itching and UTIs, oh my! Finally, we will discuss the myriad of symptoms included under the term vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes).

This module will not be recorded. We want to encourage natural conversation, sharing and protect privacy. For this reason it is important that you register even if you cannot attend. This way you can receive the presentation materials for further reading after the webinar. Module Three will cover cognitive, emotional and sleep changes.
