Vancouver is known as one of the most accessible cities in terms of transportation options; here we outline what your choices are for getting around the city.

Public Transportation:

All major bus routes are now accessible. Transit coverage across the city is extensive. Includes SkyTrain access to the airport.

HandyDART:

HandyDART is part of the larger public transit system. It is a door-to-door service for those unable to access conventional transit services. Rides can now be booked up to seven days in advance. You must pre-register, and provide a doctor’s note.

Taxis:
Most taxi companies have accessible cabs. We recommend booking ahead for accessible cabs to ensure availability

Based in Richmond, all vehicles can accommodate a power chair. Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Specializes in airport pickups; special tours can be arranged.

SN Transport:

A parallel `taxi-like` service with slightly higher rates, providing `door-to-door` service to persons with disabilities, primarily aimed at non-emergency medical transportation.
