Disabled Independent Gardeners Association

Updated on October 7, 2024

Part of the Disability Foundation, the Disabled Independent Gardeners Association (DIGA), works in Metro Vancouver to provide opportunities for people with physical disabilities to actively participate in gardening.

Goals of the organization include: encouraging people with disabilities to enjoy the physical and psychological effects of gardening, integrating with other local gardeners and providing gardeners with appropriate adaptive devices. This is achieved through educational workshops, volunteer assistance to gardeners and a partnership with the Tetra Society to provide adaptive equipment as required.
