The Individualized Funding Resource Centre (IFRC) Society operates to assist people with disabilities in BC who utilize the Choices in Supports for Independent Living (CSIL) program, by simplifying the CSIL application process and providing the skills and tools necessary for successful use of the program. In addition, the society is working to raise the funding necessary to further develop its services, and to ensure long-term operation. Services include payroll and assistance with finding staff.
The CSIL program allows consumers of home support services to exercise greater autonomy and choice by providing direct funding through the Health Authorities in each region of the province. Through the CSIL program, consumers hire, train, and manage their own home support staff. Find out more about CSIL here
