This document lays out the American standards for accessible diagnostic equipment, including examination tables and chairs, weight scales, radiological equipment, and mammography equipment. Equipment-to-mobility aid transfers, transfer surfaces, support rails, armrests, and other features are also addressed.
These standards are not required in BC at this time, but provide information about how medical practitioners can adopt best practices to meet the needs of all patients.
