The Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters (SAFER) program helps make rent affordable for BC seniors ages 60+) with low to moderate incomes. To be eligible, renters must be paying more than 30% of their gross monthly income towards their rent, which can include pad rental for owner-occupied mobile homes.
