There are over 30 volunteer centres in BC. These centres play a key role in promoting and supporting effective volunteering. Volunteer centres work with a broad range of organizations across the voluntary sector including human and social services, health care, education, arts, sports and recreation. They provide recruitment, referral and support services to these organizations, disseminate information on volunteer management and programming, provide training for volunteers and managers of volunteers, and advocate on issues related to volunteerism and volunteer programs.
