Makers Making Change

Updated on April 1, 2025

Makers Making Change is a project run by the Neil Squire Society and housed in their main office in Burnaby.

Makers Making Change is an online platform providing low-cost alternatives to commercially available assistive technologies. With a wide range of devices available in the assistive devices library, there are many options for people to browse and to work with a volunteer maker who can build it for them.

Every device design is open source. Anyone can freely download the files and information to build their own device or have it built by a volunteer. This helps keep device costs low; disabled people only cover the cost of materials. Browse the site for the offering of various products useful in daily living.
