Try it before you buy it! We’ve done the research on adaptive cycling rentals available across BC, so you don’t have to.

Vancouver

Spinal Cord Injury BC Adaptive Cycling ProgramVancouver & area (PROGRAM ON HOLD FOR 2025)

May to September – Fitting/Cycling Clinic and Group Rides (handcycles and adaptive trike provided or ride your own adaptive bike).

Handcycles from Greenspeed, Top End, Quickie, Freedom Ryder, and JEDD as well as two foot-powered recumbent and upright trikes.

Cycling Without AgeVancouver and North Vancouver

This volunteer-run program is part of the global Cycling Without Age movement, welcoming people with disabilities of all ages and friends to go for a bike ride in a rickshaw-style bike that fits two passengers. Passengers and volunteers welcome.

BC Mobility Opportunity Society  – Pacific Spirit Park, Vancouver*

Single guided rides in Pacific Spirit Park from end of May to end of August 2025. Book rides on their cycling website.

 Recumbent trikes, handcycles, Grit Freedom lever drive (offroad) wheelchairs.

Whistler Adaptive Sports Program – Adapted mountain bike (handcycle) demos and guided rides

JEDD and Top End handcycles, Mountain Trike (lever-powered all terrain wheelchair); Varna handcycles, tandem hand/leg cycle, plus off-road wheelchairs, beach wheelchairs, Hippocampe self-propelled or assisted beach and off-road wheelchair, trail riders and adaptive trikes.

Bowhead Rogue (electric assist delta handcycle with suspension).

Hop-on, ride off bike rentals on the Galloping Goose Trail.

Van Raam Velo Plus tandem bike for wheelchair users.  Hippocampe beach/snow/trail pushchair.

CRIS Adaptive

Bowhead Reach (Fully powered) & Bowhead Parks Explorer (Fully Powered).

Recumbent and tandem recumbent (leg-powered) trikes and bikes (w/ BC Blind Sports).

City of Kelowna (Parkinson Recreation Centre)

4 Upright foot-powered trikes, 2 adult bike trailers.
