Brandy Stiles, Team Captain of SCI BC’s Northern BC Team

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Brandy, I’ve been a Peer Program Coordinator with SCI BC since 2006 after moving to Prince George. I have lived experience as a peer with SCI from a MVA 25 years ago. I live with my husband and our 3 Labrador Retrievers as our two grown children have recently flown the nest.

What inspired you to participate in the Charity Challenge this year?

It’s a great opportunity to help support Spinal Cord Injury BC’s programs and services. In addition, the Charity Challenge provides personal incentive for me to be active and complete my fitness goals.

What are your plans for your team this year?

Looking to engage peers, family, friends and supporters to join our Northern BC team. We can take advantage of the change of season to get back outside for a good cause.

Any words of encouragement for your team?

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must move faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must move faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn’t matter whether you’re the lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up, you’d better be moving.
