This older guide is intended to help designers and operators in using the accessibility guidelines for boating facilities. These guidelines establish minimum accessibility requirements for newly designed or newly constructed and altered boating facilities. This guide is not a collection of boating facility designs. Rather, it provides specifications for elements within a boating facility to create a general level of usability for individuals with disabilities.
Note that these guidelines are not enforceable in Canada. They are provided as an example of how to create facilities that are usable by all.
