Pavlina came to SCI BC after years of teaching workplace English at Douglas College to those who have made Canada their new home. Besides teaching, her calling is information research and delivery—a passion she developed years ago when working in Hansard at the BC Legislative Assembly. Pavlina is glad she can contribute her skills to SCI BC with a BA in political science from SFU and MEd in TESL from UBC.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the Island and going on local trips with her husband, hiking in the West Coast nature, playing the piano, and a renewed interest in learning languages.
